Inter could sign one of Cagliari’s most promising youngsters as part of a deal to sell Radja Nainggolan, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said Cagliari’s 20-year-old midfielder Riccardo Ladinetti could be the solution during the clubs’ negotiations, which are likely to be difficult for financial reasons.

Nainggolan is under contract with Inter until 2022 and is worth €10 million on the club’s accounts this season, with an annual salary worth €4.5 million.

If Inter sign Ladinetti – who played on loan for Serie C side Olbia this season – as part of the deal, they might be able to avoid recording a net loss on Nainggolan.

Ladinetti has made 27 appearances at Olbia and scored two goals during the current campaign, the Turin-based paper added.

He was linked with a move to Inter last summer and now it seems the Nerazzurri might get another chance to secure his services.
