Andrea Ranocchia is ready to prove his love for Inter by taking a wage cut to stay at the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

FcInterNews.it said the defender was dreaming of ending his career with the Nerazzurri, despite being out of contract with Inter in less than two months’ time.

Inter remain Ranocchia’s first choice for next season and this could open the door to a one-year contract extension, with his salary dropping from €1.5 million to €1 million plus bonuses.

Ranocchia is prepared to make a concession due to Inter’s financial problems, another sign of his love for the club he joined way back in 2011.

Sassuolo, Lazio and Bologna have all expressed an interest in signing Ranocchia on a free transfer, if he leaves Inter in the summer, but that is not the defender’s priority for now.

Antonio Conte is known to be very fond of Ranocchia, having previously coached him at Bari, although Ranocchia is also appreciated at Inter for his presence in the dressing room.

Ranocchia has only made seven appearances for Inter this season but he has always delivered for Conte when called upon, and it seems his adventure with the Nerazzurri might not be over yet.
