Inter will try to offload Chilean duo Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Nerazzurri will cut costs in the transfer window by releasing all their players who are out of contract: Daniele Padelli, Andrea Ranocchia, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Aleksandar Kolarov and Ashley Young.
However, they will need further departures after that and Vidal and Sanchez – who are both on high wages – are likely candidates to be sacrificed.
Inter signed both players practically for free – with Barcelona now due €1 million for Vidal after the Nerazzurri won the Serie A title – and they could allow the pair to leave without a transfer fee.
Vidal has interest from Marseille but he is not the only midfielder who could leave Inter in the summer, the Turin-based paper added.
Matias Vecino and Ivan Perisic are both out of contract in 2022 and they too could be sacrificed for the right offer, as Inter seek to reduce the club’s wage bill.
Perisic was a key figure for Antonio Conte during the second half of the season, but he earns €5 million annually and could be pushed towards the exit door if Inter recall Federico Dimarco and sign another left wing-back.
Vecino earns €2.5 million per season and has hardly featured this season due to injury concerns.
