Inter have their work cut out to keep hold of two key players this summer, a report in the Italian media warned today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said it would be ‘impossible’ for the Nerazzurri not to listen to offers for Lautaro Martinez, from Real Madrid, or Alessandro Bastoni, from Manchester City.

Antonio Conte will ask Inter to protect his star players and instead raise funds from unwanted players like Joao Mario, Radja Nainggolan, Dalbert and Valentino Lazaro.

Inter are set for a difficult summer in the transfer market, the Turin-based paper explained, with no possibility to make signings before June 30 while the club chase sales and capital gains.

Conte is expected to have lots of youngsters turning up for pre-season in July, with Inter planning to reduce their wage bill ahead of next season.

Federico Dimarco is due to return from Hellas Verona, while Andrei Radu will make the opposite journey and replace Marco Silvestri (who is expected to leave the Gialloblu).

Elsewhere, Filip Stankovic will replace Daniele Padelli as the goalkeeper heads to rejoin Udinese, while Zinho Vanheusden and Lorenzo Pirola are also expected to return.

Eddie Salcedo will come back and could be Inter’s new fourth-choice striker, with the club deeming him to be more ready than Sebastiano Esposito.
