Danilo D’Ambrosio could be subject to a bidding war when he leaves Inter in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per La Repubblica (via The Laziali), AC Milan are interested in snapping up the 32-year-old defender when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Lazio are also thought to be interested in D’Ambrosio, who seems unlikely to renew with Inter, and the two clubs could battle for his services in the coming weeks.
D’Ambrosio wants an annual salary worth €2.5 million wherever he moves next, after playing a bit-part role in Inter’s Serie A title success this season.
Lazio and AC Milan are not the only Serie A clubs to have been linked with D’Ambrosio, because Napoli were also rumoured to be a possible destination by a report last night.
The Partenopei are considering appointing Luciano Spalletti as their new head coach, and he knows D’Ambrosio very well from his time coaching at Inter.
