Nicolo Barella will be on hand to celebrate the Serie A title with Inter on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Barella underwent surgery on his nose yesterday and is not expected to play in the Nerazzurri’s final game of the season against Udinese.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the operation would not prevent the midfielder taking part in the Scudetto celebrations after the game at San Siro.

Barella will take a place on the bench against Luca Gotti’s side, before coming onto the pitch after full-time to lift the trophy with his Inter teammates.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed an exceptional season with Inter this season, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.

Antonio Conte has reportedly included Barella on his list of ‘six untouchables’ who must not be sold under any circumstances this summer.

Earlier today, Barella gave an interview to France Football in which he thanked Conte for making him mentally stronger and urged Inter’s style critics to back off.
