Inter’s loan forward Sebastiano Esposito is attracting interest from Switzerland, a report in the Italian media revealed today.

FcInterNews.it said FC Basel had made an approach for the Nerazzurri youngster, who is coming to the end of a six-month loan at Venezia in Serie B.

Inter are on excellent terms with FC Basel, who asked for information about the 18-year-old, but Esposito will get the final decision on his future.

Esposito has previously rejected approaches from clubs outside Italy, the report noted, and will need to decide what is best for his development.

Venezia will aim to take another step towards promotion to Serie A tomorrow, when they visit Lecce for the second leg of their play-off semi-final.

Paolo Zanetti’s side won the first leg 1-0 and if they did return to Italy’s top flight, they could ask to renew Esposito’s loan deal with Inter for another season.

Esposito endured a disappointing first half of the season on loan at SPAL, before moving to Venice in the January transfer window.

Between the two clubs, the Inter striker has scored four goals and provided three assists in 32 appearances this season.
