Antonio Conte intends to continue as Inter’s head coach but only under certain conditions, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Corriere della Sera’s print edition said Conte could hold his long-awaited talks with Steven Zhang before Sunday (although other reports have claimed the meeting will take place today).
Every option remains on the table for Conte, although he is certainly not looking to leave Inter if he can avoid it.
In order to remain as head coach, Conte needs ‘the right conditions’ to continue with Suning and will seek reassurance about their plans.
Conte will discuss the results he’s achieved since being appointed at Inter, the report explained, highlight the way he’s improved various players and make it clear he wants to keep aiming to win trophies.
Inter’s transfer market will have to be self-financed this summer and will not be affected by the €275 million financing deal which is about to arrive from Oaktree Capital.
