Inter Could Send Radja Nainggolan To Cagliari For Free Like Diego Godin, Italian Media Claim

Inter are prepared to cut their losses on Radja Nainggolan and send him to Cagliari for free, a report in the Italian media suggested today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said the clubs were in talks over a permanent deal for the midfielder, who re-joined the Rossoblu on a six-month loan in January.

Inter could either sell Nainggolan to Cagliari for a fee in the region of €5 million, or they could settle for mutually terminating his contract and offloading his €4 million annual salary.

It would be easier to pick the latter option and it seems that could well happen, in a repeat of what happened with Diego Godin last summer.

Nainggolan is no longer part of Inter’s plans under Antonio Conte and is prioritising a permanent return to Cagliari, with whom he has now had three spells during his career.

The 33-year-old has made 21 appearances since rejoining the Sardinians, scoring once and helping them secure their Serie A survival with two games to spare.
