Inter might not get the chance to sign Edin Dzeko after all, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Dzeko wanted to stay at Roma for next season, where Jose Mourinho was counting on the Bosnian after being appointed head coach.

Dzeko does have numerous offers for his services, but he will not be moving to Los Angeles Galaxy – as was claimed yesterday – because he wants at least one more season in a high-profile league.

The Bosnian, who has scored 14 goals for Roma this season, has interest from Europe and in Serie A, with Inter being frequently linked to the 35-year-old striker.

Roma are thought to be keen on a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, but first the Giallorossi must sort Dzeko’s future.

Dzeko could offer to spread his €7.5 million annual salary over two seasons in order to make himself more affordable for the capital club.
