Juan Musso has batted an eyelid towards Inter as the Nerazzurri continue to be linked with the Udinese goalkeeper.

Inter are thought to be seeking a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic, who has received criticism this season for a series of costly errors.

Musso is one of the Nerazzurri’s preferred choices to succeed the Slovenian, as per multiple reports in Italy, although Udinese’s price tag could scupper their hopes of a deal.

In any case, ahead of Sunday’s match at San Siro, the 26-year-old told Goal.com today: “Inter are the best team in Serie A, but we can’t wait to play them.

“We think we can get a result, we drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture and so we know we can cause them problems.”

Musso played alongside Lautaro Martinez at Racing Club and the goalkeeper admits they are still in frequent contact.

“He’s playing for a great team, the best team in Italy which has an incredible history.

“I’m calm though, I don’t want to go crazy looking at the transfer rumours: let’s say I don’t lose sleep over them.

“I have a good relationship with Lautaro; we see each other a lot, such as when we go to Argentina duty together.

“I saw him develop in Racing Club’s academy, then we were in the first team together and now we’re both in Serie A.

“Every time I see him we’re on good terms.”

Musso also confirmed he wanted to move to a side playing in the UEFA Champions League, which could give Inter an advantage over their potential competition (Roma) for the Argentine shot-stopper.

“I’ve already said it would be a dream for me to play in the Champions League,” he admitted.

“The teams that play in the Champions League are great clubs, I’d be very happy if an offer arrived which was beneficial for me and for Udinese.

“I’d be very pleased if we were all happy.”

Musso impressed during Udinese’s 0-0 draw against Inter in January’s reverse fixture, and he will no doubt hope to put himself in the shop window again this weekend.
