Inter will take part in a pre-season tournament with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the summer, according to a report in the Spanish media.

As per Marca (via FcInterNews.it), Real Madrid will not travel to Asia or the United States for their pre-season preparations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The La Liga giants are instead planning a ‘triangular competition’ with Inter and Bayern Munich, where each team will host one match in their home city.

There are no official dates for the tournament yet, but it would give the Nerazzurri a chance to test themselves against high-profile opposition before starting their Serie A title defence.

Inter faced Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League group stage this season, but Antonio Conte’s side were unable to pick up a single point across the two fixtures.

Real Madrid won their home game 3-2 before securing a 2-0 win at San Siro, after a first-half red card for Arturo Vidal.
