Romelu Lukaku loves Antonio Conte as a coach but he doesn’t seem quite as impressed by his refereeing talents.

Inter’s players enjoyed a training match at Appiano Gentile on Thursday in which Lukaku ultimately ended up on the winning team, but the Belgian was made to work hard for his victory.

Lukaku joked on Instagram that he was ‘disappointed’ with the standard of officiating, calling out Conte in particular after he oversaw ‘VAR’ duties.

Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini refereed the game and was criticised by Lukaku’s teammate Alessandro Bastoni, with the defender writing in the comments section: “It’s always you, Stellini…”

Bastoni was making a joking reference to Conte’s rant at Fabio Maresca during Inter’s 0-0 draw at Udinese in January, which saw Conte handed a two-match touchline ban after he shouted: “It’s always you, Maresca…”
