As they seek to reduce costs and bring the wage bill down this summer, Inter could look to cash in on Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, and Marcelo Brozovic.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, President Steven Zhang has made it clear that the current wage bill is unsustainable and additions to the squad will not be possible without sales.
In order to funds moves for younger players and maintain a competitive squad in defence of their Serie A title next season, the Nerazzurri have identified three first team players that they will look to move on.
Chile internationals Sanchez and Vidal are amongst the highest earners at the club and neither have established themselves as first choice players under coach Antonio Conte this season.
The pair have a combined salary of €28 million over the next two seasons and Inter feel that they could make considerable savings by offloading them, with Marseille keen on midfielder Vidal, whilst forward Sanchez has attracted interest from South America.
Meanwhile, Brozovic has proved to be an important cog in Conte’s midfield but the Croatian only has a year remaining on his contract and Inter may look to sell him now so as to be able to bring in a fee, amidst interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nerazzurri will also consider offers for Stefan De Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Christian Eriksen, and Ivan Perisic.
