Cagliari are determined to sign Inter’s Radja Nainggolan on a permanent deal and will offer young midfielder Riccardo Ladinetti in exchange, but the Nerazzurri continue to have doubts.

After falling out of favour under Antonio Conte, midfielder Nainggolan was sent back to former club Cagliari on loan in January the Sardinians are hoping to retain him next term, whilst the Belgian is also keen to remain.

According to FCInterNews.it, Inter are keen to get Nainggolan off their wage bill but do not want to sell him for less than their valuation, whilst Cagliari are struggling to make an upfront payment.

It has prompted them to propose paying in instalments and bringing the cost down by sending Ladinetti to Inter following a year in Serie C with Olbia.

The Isolani rate the 20-year-old highly and feel that he has the potential to challenge for a place in the first team, whilst Inter themselves have been tracking him for some time.

However, the Nerazzurri are not convinced by his ability to break into Conte’s team immediately and would rather take the payment than bring in another player.

Meanwhile, Ladinetti is determined to break through at local club Cagliari having supported them since childhood, and whilst he would be open to a switch to Inter for professional reasons, has no intention of pushing for a move.
