Former Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso commemorated the anniversary of the club’s 2010 Champions League triumph in a post on Instagram.

The Argentine played a significant role in the Nerazzurri’s route to the Final in Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and played the full match as Inter overcame Bayern Munich 2-0, courtesy of a brace by striker Diego Milito.

As reported by FCInterNews.it, Cambiasso posted a story on his personal Instagram account showing him lifting the trophy, with the caption: “22/05 will never be a day like any other.”

It capped a hugely successful season under coach Jose Mourinho, as Inter completed an unprecedented treble after winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia that season.

Cambiasso made 46 appearances for the Nerazzurri that season and was instrumental in their success, adding to the four Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia trophies he had already lifted with the club.

The former Argentina international joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2004 and went on to score 51 goals in 420 appearances before departing for Premier League club Leicester City in 2014.
