Inter coach Antonio Conte is set to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Udinese, including a start for striker Andrea Pinamonti.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the coach will give some of his lesser utilised players an opportunity to impress for the final game of a season in which the club secured a first Scudetto since 2010.
Pinamonti will make his first start of the season and will be partnered in attack by Lautaro Martinez, replacing Romelu Lukaku, despite the Belgian seeking 30th goal of the season in all competitions for the second consecutive year.
Wing-back Matteo Darmian and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic serve suspensions picked up in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Juventus, whilst Nicolo Barella is expected to drop to the bench after undergoing minor surgery on his nose in midweek.
Conte will retain Samir Handanovic in goal, behind a defence of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Andrea Ranocchia, and Alessandro Bastoni.
The midfield will comprise of Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini, and Stefano Sensi, although the latter is facing competition from Christian Eriksen, whilst Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young will take up the wing-back positions.
