Pirelli will no longer sponsor Inter’s kit from next season, but have reached an agreement to become the club’s official global tyre partners.
In an announcement on Pirelli’s official website, the Milan-based tyre manufacturer confirmed that their long-standing relationship with Inter would continue, albeit in a different form.
Pirelli have adorned the front of Inter’s shirts since 1995-96 but the Nerazzurri have decided to look elsewhere for main sponsorship next season, as they look to increase their commercial income.
The company will continue to sponsor Inter by becoming their global tyre partners, in a deal that will run until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Having enjoyed a lengthy partnership with Inter over the past two decades, Pirelli reflected on the successes enjoyed by the club, including the 2010 treble amongst six league titles during their 25-year partnership.
They also referenced a famous advert involving Brazilian striker Ronaldo as the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro in an Inter shirt in 1998.
