Paris Saint-Germain could look to take advantage of Marcelo Brozovic’s contract situation at Inter by swooping for the Croatia international this summer.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ligue 1 champions have long been admirers of Brozovic and attempted to sign him last year in an exchange with Leandro Paredes, only for the deal to fall through.
Brozovic only has one year remaining on his €3.5 million contract at Inter and may use PSG’s interest to secure improved terms, but the Nerazzurri may yet look to cash in on him as they seek to bring their wage bill down.
PSG, meanwhile, would be willing to purchase Brozovic this summer rather than wait for him to become available for free next year, with a fear that he could sign a new deal in the meantime.
The French club would look to pay for him outright this time around rather than offer any of their own players in exchange.
