Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen was delighted to have helped the club win the Scudetto this season and is already targeting another league title.
The Denmark international was on target with a deflected freekick in the first half as Inter ended their season with a dominant 5-1 win over Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza today, before lifting the Serie A trophy after the final whistle.
Speaking to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the game, the 29-year-old expressed his joy at being able to help Antonio Conte’s side win the league.
“I am very happy, it has been a long and unusual season due to COVID-19, but I am particularly happy with the Scudetto,” Eriksen declared.
“Now I just want to think about celebrating, then we’ll see about the future. I want to celebrate with the fans we missed so much, the goal is another Scudetto.”
Eriksen initially struggled to establish himself following his arrival at Inter from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020, but became an important figure at the turn of the year.
“Even just one year is already a lot for me. I’m happy with what I achieved, it was difficult but I’m happy,” the Dane claimed.
Eriksen has scored eight goals in 60 appearances for Inter across all competitions since joining the club.
