Claudio Cecchetto, who produced Inter’s new anthem ‘Yes I M’, praised the impact of Antonio Conte and felt that the coach could begin a period of dominance with the club.

The Nerazzurri were crowned Serie A champions this season for the first time since 2010, whilst branding changes off the pitch saw them release a new track, produced by Inter fan Cecchetto.

In an interview published in yesterday’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Cecchetto admitted that Conte had convinced him and that his determination from the touchline had been a key factor in the Nerazzurri’s success this campaign.

“Conte won me over. He has convinced with the results and with the ability to develop the club beautifully. In every game, looking at him at the start, you could see that the team took to the field to win. He was really the 12th man on the pitch,” Cecchetto claimed.

“It would be a shame if he didn’t start a cycle. For me this is a new feeling. I would like us to achieve a string of victories, not only with national titles but also internationally.

“We must never think that it is easy to win or that the others are weak. We must think that we are the strongest and show it on the pitch.”

The producer turned his attention to the team itself and felt that Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella had stood out this season when asked to pick his favourite.

“I must say that it is a very well set table, with fantastic dishes. But I must choose Barella, who in my opinion was a revelation.

“Everyone deserves it, but I was struck by the character and confidence he showed, as well as the skill both in attack and defence. He has the talent and simplicity to become a great in his position.”

Finally, Cecchetto assessed Inter’s strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, feeling that they had been instrumental in the Scudetto success.

“Lukaku truly is golden and he plays for the team. For me, he is already a symbol of Inter and would love to stay with us for many years. He is in the team that won the league, with the best leadership, the strongest coach, there are no reasons for him to leave.

“I would feel sorry too if Lautaro leaves Inter because he was fundamental in winning the Scudetto. However, I trust the management and I know they want to continue winning in the future. This is only the first Scudetto,” he added.
