Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi took to Social Media to declare his pride at being nominated as a ‘Champion of Children’s Rights’ by the Moroccan branch of charity UNICEF.

The 22-year-old was recognised by the global charity for his work in promoting welfare and improved conditions for children around the world, and his role will see him partake in initiatives to help raise awareness, alongside other high-profile figures from across sport, music and academia.

Hakimi posted on Instagram, with the caption: “Very excited about my nomination from UNICEF as a Champion of children’s rights. I will support with my efforts the promotion of rights. Stay tuned.”
