Antonio Conte’s meeting with Steven Zhang and Inter’s directors could be postponed once again, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.
Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) said the Nerazzurri were not in a hurry to sit down with Conte and could delay the talks for later this week.
Conte has certainly not met Zhang and the directors yet, although the report said the situation was evolving constantly and there is no certainty over when it will happen.
Some of Inter’s managers were seen at the club’s offices in Milan earlier today, but that doesn’t mean the meeting couldn’t be held elsewhere.
Conte is widely expected to be seeking reassurance from Inter’s owners Suning about the club’s plans for next season and beyond.
Zhang will need to find a way of convincing Conte that Inter are still ambitious about building on this season’s Serie A title, despite the Nerazzurri’s serious economic problems.
