Inter are set to receive a new offer from Cagliari for Radja Nainggolan, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri have already rejected a €3 million bid after deeming it to be too low, but Cagliari are not giving up on signing the midfielder.

Cagliari are preparing a second offer which will have a total value of €4.25 million, but it will be structured in a complex manner and not all of that will be cash.

They would give Inter €2 million in cash and then give up the €2 million they were due to receive as a bonus payment for Nicolo Barella after he won the Serie A title.

Antonio Conte’s side would also have an option, valued at €250,000, to sign Cagliari youngster Riccardo Ladinetti in the next 18 months for a pre-agreed fee of €2.5 million.

These are details the clubs will have to work on but both are keen to ensure talks over Nainggolan do not drag on too long.

Nainggolan made 22 appearances for Cagliari after rejoining them in January, helping Leonardo Semplici’s side secure Serie A survival with two games to spare.
