Inter’s star players are still in the dark over their futures, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, neither Christian Eriksen nor Achraf Hakimi was able to put an end to speculation yesterday after the Nerazzurri’s 5-1 win over Udinese.
Eriksen said he wanted to think about celebrating the Serie A title before finding out what the future would hold, while Hakimi admitted he was very happy at Inter but didn’t know what would happen next season.
Everything will depend on Antonio Conte’s future, the Milan-based paper warned, with Inter’s head coach finally due to meet Steven Zhang for crunch talks today.
Hakimi seemed to be sending a clear message about his future during the match, when he pointed to the Inter badge and then pointed towards the grass at San Siro.
However, the Moroccan clarified afterwards that he was simply reminding everyone that Inter were Serie A champions.
