Antonio Conte could become a managerial candidate for two European giants if he leaves Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta.it, Conte would think ‘not twice but three times’ before choosing to leave the Nerazzurri if his meeting with Steven Zhang did not go as he wished.

Inter’s head coach would be forced to leave an annual salary worth €13.5 million on the table and there is no guarantee he would find another top club willing to employ him.

However, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are two potential options if they part company with their coaches in the next couple of weeks.

Zinedine Zidane will discuss his future at Real Madrid on Wednesday, the Milan-based publication explained, while Mauricio Pochettino isn’t certain to remain in Paris either.

If not them, Conte would find it very difficult to find another club who could offer a project which is more ambitious than Inter’s.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Inter boss, but neither is in the UEFA Champions League or even the UEFA Europa League next season.

Conte has clear demands for Zhang when the pair meet to discuss his future, but he might be willing to reach a compromise in order to remain.
