Football stats and data provider Opta took to Social Media to highlight how impressive Inter have been this season, as they won a first Scudetto since 2010.
The Nerazzurri rounded off a memorable campaign with a 5-1 thrashing of Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza yesterday, taking Antonio Conte’s side to 91 points for the season.
As reported in a tweet by Opta, it is only the second time Inter have broken the 90 point barrier and their best return since amassing 97 in 2007.
“91 – Inter (91) have gained more than 90 points in a single top-flight campaign only for the second time in their history, after the 97 picked up in the 2006/07 season. Glory,” Opta tweeted.
