Inter are waiting for Antonio Conte to take a decision on his future, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per FcInter1908.it, the Nerazzurri are very grateful to Conte for the work he has done during the last two seasons, but they need him to be ‘convinced and motivated’ if he is to stay.

Conte is widely reported to want a meeting with Steven Zhang to discuss Suning’s plans, but he already knows that Inter will have to self-finance their summer transfer business.

Inter need a decision from Conte one way or another soon, because if he wants to leave they need time to secure a replacement.

Conte’s future at the club remains in doubt but Suning don’t think they have anything left to clarify with him, the report explained.

Inter’s owners explained very clearly during last summer’s meeting at Villa Bellini what the limitations and restrictions would be moving forward, and it seems all that still applies now.

Conte had that explained to him again last weekend, when Inter’s directors came to Appiano Gentile and discussed the club’s current financial situation.
