Inter have banned Antonio Conte from joining another Serie A club next season, according to a leading Italian journalist.
Conte officially parted company with the Nerazzurri by mutual consent tonight, sending shock waves through the club just weeks after becoming league champions.
As per La Repubblica’s Franco Vanni, Inter have included a clause in their termination agreement that says Conte cannot go to another team in Italy’s top flight.
Conte will therefore need to move abroad if he wishes to get back into coaching straightaway, although it is hard to know where he could realistically go.
Inter are now frantically seeking a replacement for Conte and reports in Italy tonight have linked them both Max Allegri and Simone Inzaghi.
The Nerazzurri have precious little time to begin planning for next season and precious little money with which to do it, but the champions must move forwards and find a way to stage a credible title defence.
