Antonio Conte could leave Inter before the end of today, according to a leading Italian journalist.

Inter are widely expected to part company with Conte after they made it clear they needed to cut costs in the summer transfer window.

Conte does not wish to accept the idea of losing his key players, which means he could reluctantly depart the Nerazzurri after two seasons in charge.

“Inter and Conte will probably part ways today,” Libero reporter and Inter fan Fabrizio Biasin tweeted this morning.

“Conte wants €9 million from their mutual termination agreement, Suning are prepared to give him €6.5 million (half his annual salary) with a clause that he can’t join other Serie A clubs.

“Beppe Marotta has contacted Max Allegri, but he’s in advanced talks with Juventus.

“As you can see, it’s a quiet day.”

Allegri is one of several names being linked with replacing Conte, although it seems Inter could miss out as he continues talks with Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli.

Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi is also being strongly rumoured to be in contention, with SempreInter.com exclusively revealing today that Inter had contacted him on Monday.

Sinisa Mihajlovic, Paulo Fonseca and Maurizio Sarri are other names reportedly in the frame to replace Conte if he leaves as expected.
