Simone Inzaghi will not take over from Antonio Conte as the next Inter coach according to a report by Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the report, Simone Inzaghi is close to signing a contract extension with the Biancocelesti, with transfer journalist Nicolo Schira reporting that he will sign a three year deal with the club earning €2.4 million net per season.
Di Marzio confirmed that Inzaghi will pen a three year deal with Lazio but adding that the agreement will see him earn slightly less, €2.2 million net per season.
Either way it looks that Simone Inzaghi will stay put in Rome with Lazio and take over the reigns at the Nerazzurri, despite having been approached by the club earlier this week.
Antonio Conte and Inter officially parted ways earlier today via mutual termination of the former Chelsea and Juventus coach’s contract, who only had 12 months left on his current deal.
