Inter have offered Simone Inzaghi a three-year deal in the hope he will ditch Lazio for the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media.

FcInterNews.it said Inter were incredibly back in the hunt for Inzaghi, who last night reached an agreement with Claudio Lotito to sign a new deal with the Biancocelesti.

Inzaghi’s agent Tulio Tinti was at Inter’s offices in Milan today and received an offer from Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio with an annual salary worth €3.5 million.

Lazio had offered Inzaghi €1 million less than that and now it is up to the man himself to decide whether he wants to stick or twist.

Inzaghi is inevitably giving Inter’s offer serious thought, and now he needs to work out if he fancies making a U-turn and trying a new experience.

He took charge of Lazio back in 2016 and has since won the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles, along with two fourth-place finishes in Serie A.

Inter are making a serious attempt to hijack Inzaghi’s contract talks with Lazio, which seemed certain to end in a renewal, and everyone is in suspense to find out his decision.
