Inter have missed the chance to hire Max Allegri, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

Sky Sport 24 have reported that Juventus have reached an agreement with Allegri to bring him back to the club after two years apart.

Inter and Real Madrid were both in contention for Allegri but it seems the Bianconeri have beaten them both.

Allegri will sign a three or four-year deal, with Andrea Pirlo due to be sacked after just one season in charge.

Inter need a replacement for Antonio Conte and now they have missed both Allegri and Simone Inzaghi, who is about to renew his contract at Lazio.

There is very little clarity over who the Nerazzurri could go for now, with supporters quite rightly worried about what on earth could happen next.

Conte left Inter by mutual consent last night after two seasons in charge, following Suning’s decision to cut costs ahead of the new campaign.
