Stefano Sensi is back on the training pitch after suffering a thigh injury with Inter on Sunday.

The midfielder was named in Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad for Friday’s friendly with San Marino despite being taken off during the 5-1 win over Udinese.

Sensi is hoping to recover in time to be included in the Azzurri’s matches at the European Championships, with Italy due to open the tournament against Turkey on June 11.

The 25-year-old posted a picture of himself in training with Mancini’s side in Sardinia on Wednesday.
