Antonio Conte has already set his sights on a new club after leaving Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Tuttosport’s print edition on Thursday said Conte hoped to join Tottenham Hotspur after parting company with the Nerazzurri.

Inter’s owners Suning forked out €10 million – taxes included – to liquidate Conte’s contract, with €7.5 million going to their former head coach.

The Nerazzurri must focus on life after Conte and their new head coach will be Simone Inzaghi, with an official announcement due later today.

Conte has continued an unwanted tradition at Inter, the Turin-based paper noted, by leaving the club immediately after winning a major trophy.

Jose Mourinho left the club straight after winning the UEFA Champions League in 2010, for instance, while Roberto Mancini did the same after clinching the Serie A title in 2008.

More recently, Rafael Benitez and Leonardo also departed Inter after picking up trophies, namely the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2011 Coppa Italia.
