Daniele Padelli has officially completed a return to Udinese.

Inter released the goalkeeper after deciding not to renew his contract, which will expire at the end of this season on June 30.

Padelli was a third-choice option behind Samir Handanovic and Andreu Radu this season, but now he has moved elsewhere in search of game time.

Udinese welcomed Padelli back to the club with a tweet on their official profile earlier this evening.

Padelli joined Inter from Torino in the summer of 2017 and has made just nine appearances under Luciano Spalletti and Antonio Conte.

He stood in for Samir Handanovic last season when the Slovenian was injured and he did not impress, most notably playing in goal as Inter lost 2-1 away at Lazio in February 2020.

Padelli previously spent two seasons at Udinese between 2011 and 2013, making 12 appearances in all competitions (all of which came during his second season at the club), and now he is back for a second spell.
