Simone Inzaghi is ready to start planning for next season at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Inzaghi would most likely sign his contract with the Nerazzurri today, a two-year deal worth €4 million annually plus bonuses.

Inzaghi will not arrive in Milan to put pen to paper, instead Inter’s directors will meet him either in Rome or his home city of Piacenza.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will get their first chance to hold talks with their new head coach, where the trio will discuss transfers, pre-season training and their summer schedule.

Inzaghi is likely to be announced today or at most during the weekend, the Rome-based paper added, after he changed his mind on signing a renewal with Lazio.

Inter sped up their pursuit of Inzaghi after failing to secure Massimiliano Allegri, their first choice, who is headed back to Juventus for a second spell in charge.
