Ahead of his arrival as Inter coach, Simone Inzaghi has already begun planning additions for his squad and will target Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the former Lazio tactician employs a similar 3-5-2 formation to former Inter coach Antonio Conte and so there is little need for an overhaul.
The left wing-back position is considered an area of priority though, and former Roma defender Emerson is a target, whilst Inter will also consider buying Federico Dimarco back after a loan at Hellas Verona should the Gialloblu take up their option for a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, there are unlikely to be changes in defence, with the only addition being the return of young centre-back Lorenzo Pirola from a loan spell at Monza.
The Nerazzurri may also look to trigger a buy-back clause in the deal that sent Zinho Vanheusden to Standard Liege.
In attack, Inzaghi will focus on Sassuolo’s 21-year-old forward Giacomo Raspadori should Lautaro Martinez depart, as Inter look to take advantage of a strong relationship with the Neroverdi.
