Inter are weighing up an approach for Chelsea wing-back Davide Zappacosta as they look to shore up their right flank, with Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young likely to depart.

According to FCInterNews.it, Zappacosta has emerged as a target due to concerns that Inter will be light on numbers out wide next season, as incoming coach Simone Inzaghi looks to continue Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation.

Hakimi is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain and the Nerazzurri are expected to cash in on him, whilst Young will be released at the end of his contract and Ivan Perisic is amongst the list of players that are available for transfer.

As a result, Italian international Zappacosta has been offered to Inter and AC Milan, and could prove to be a financially viable option.

With only a year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will ask for around €8 million for the 28-year-old who has spent the season on loan at Genoa.

Although he is not on the list of priorities for Inter’s management at the moment, he has not been discarded and the club could return for him later in the transfer window.
