Inter are ready to move for Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori as they seek an alternative to strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

According to FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are set to focus on younger Italian talents in the transfer window as they look to cut costs, and 21-year-old Raspadori fits the bill.

With wing-back Achraf Hakimi edging closer to departing for Paris Saint-Germain, there is less pressure to sell Martinez and he could be retained.

In addition, incoming coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to sanction the sale of Alexis Sanchez, as Inter attempt to get his hefty €7 million salary off the wage bill.

As such, Inter are hoping to replace Sanchez with Raspadori and see the young forward as a long-term option, whilst they are boosted by Sassuolo’s need to raise funds by selling either him or fellow striker Gianluca Scamacca.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are also aided by a strong relationship with Raspadori’s agent Tullio Tinti, particularly as he represents Inzaghi and centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, who only signed a new contract at Inter yesterday.

Inter and Sassuolo also enjoy a positive working partnership and the two clubs could begin negotiations on a deal to bring Raspadori to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
