Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi is closing in on a move to French club Paris Saint-Germain after only a single season in Serie A.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, PSG submitted an offer of €60 million up front for the Morocco international yesterday and it has proven too much for Inter to turn down.
The fee could potentially rise to €70m with bonuses and it is believed that the deal is all but done, with an agreement thought to be merely hours away.
Should Hakimi be sold, it is expected that this would considerably alleviate the financial pressure on Inter and remove the necessity to sell any other high-profile players.
The Nerazzurri would then turn their attention to offloading players currently out on loan, including midfielders Radja Nainggolan and Joao Mario, winger Valentino Lazaro, and full-back Dalbert.
Roma defender Alessandro Florenzi has been suggested as the most likely candidate to replace Hakimi after spending the season on loan at PSG, with the Ligue 1 runners ups choosing not to activate an option to sign him on a permanent deal.
