Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi has emerged as a target for French club Paris Saint-Germain, but his sale could see the Nerazzurri avoid losing other key names.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations between the Ligue 1 runners ups and Inter are at an advanced stage and a deal could be struck shortly.

It would see Inter bring in just under €60 million for the Morocco international, whilst they will not receive anyone in exchange, despite interest in midfielder Leandro Paredes.

Inter must raise €90-100m this summer to balance the books and so Hakimi’s departure, in addition to the €32m from wages and bonuses across the four years remaining on his contract, will significantly ease the burden and possibly prevent further high-profile sales.

Should the former Real Madrid wing-back depart, the Nerazzurri will turn to current PSG defender Alessandro Florenzi as his replacement.

The Italian international is set to return to Roma after a loan spell in the French capital, with PSG unlikely to take up an option to sign him permanently, paving the way for Inter to swoop.
