With wing-back Achraf Hakimi appearing set to leave the club, Inter will target Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi as his replacement.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are preparing for life without Hakimi as he closes in on a move to French club Paris Saint-Germain, with Inter forced to sell in order to ease their financial woes.
However, Hakimi’s move to PSG may yet pave the way for Florenzi to join as his replacement after he spent the season on loan in Paris.
PSG are unlikely to take up their option to sign Florenzi on a permanent deal should they land Hakimi and will instead send him back to parent club Roma.
The Giallorossi may decide against retaining him though and could immediately sanction a sale to Inter, who have had a long-standing interest under previous coach Antonio Conte.
Florenzi has scored twice in 36 appearances for PSG in all competitions but does not appear to have done enough to convince them to keep him.
