Bayern Munich are not involved in the battle to sign Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi this summer, according to German journalist Christian Falk.

The Morocco international has been at the centre of numerous transfer stories over the past few days as Inter look to cash in on a key player to balance the books, prompting suggestions that Paris Saint-Germain are in advanced talks to sign him.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been paired with Hakimi but Bild journalist Falk took to Twitter to deny that they were in contention for him.

“Not true,” Falk tweeted in response to another tweet claiming that the Bavarian outfit were challenging PSG for Hakimi.

The 22-year-old has experience of the Bundesliga after spending two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid, prior to signing for Inter last summer.

Hakimi made 45 appearances for the Nerazzurri in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists to help the club win the Serie A title.
