Ahead of the impending sale of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain, Inter are planning their own moves in the transfer window and continue to track Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri.

According to Italian television channel Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, Hakimi’s departure will give the Nerazzurri the freedom to begin considering additions to the squad as they look to defend the Scudetto next season.

Whilst Hakimi’s sale will leave a gap at right wing-back, Inter will also target a new player for the left flank and Italian international Emerson Palmieri remains a possibility, having fallen out of favour at Chelsea.

The former Roma defender has been limited to just 15 appearances at Stamford Bridge this season and is keen to move on to kickstart his career elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Inter have sounded out Barcelona’s Brazilian wing-back Emerson Royal as a direct replacement for Hakimi.

He is yet to make a senior appearance for Barcelona since arriving from Atletico Mineiro in January 2019, having spent the past two seasons on loan at Real Betis.
