Inter’s transfer remit this summer is to strengthen their squad with young and promising players as they target Emerson Royal and Giacomo Raspadori, of Barcelona and Sassuolo respectively.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are determined to cut costs and bring the average age of the squad down following this season’s Scudetto success, as they aim to refresh rather than dismantle the team.

Wing-back Achraf Hakimi is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Inter have already sounded out Barcelona’s Emerson as his replacement.

The Brazilian international has returned to the Catalan club after two seasons on loan at Real Betis and Inter see him as fitting the characteristics of Hakimi.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also been paired with 21-year-old forward Raspadori after an impressive breakout season with Sassuolo this term.

A move for Raspadori is boosted by his links with agent Tullio Tinti, who represents incoming Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi and defender Alessandro Bastoni. Indeed, the latter signed a new contract at Inter on Friday after positive talks between Tinti and the club.
