Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is looking to conclude the club’s outgoing transfer business as soon as possible and raise €100 million, whilst avoiding selling key players.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri must sell to buy and are looking to cut costs, but Marotta is attempting to carefully manage this to avoid damaging the competitiveness of the squad.
Wing-back Achraf Hakimi appears set to depart, with Paris Saint-Germain leading the race for his signature, but Marotta hopes that the Moroccan will be the only star name to be sacrificed, as Inter seek €70m for him.
A deal is also thought to be close to send Joao Mario to Sporting CP on a permanent deal for €8m after a successful loan spell, whilst the Nerazzurri will look to sell Matias Vecino, Ivan Perisic, and Andrea Pinamonti.
Inter will also attempt to move Radja Nainggolan on to Cagliari and rid themselves of his €4.5m wages, taking their total income to above €100m. This would then allow the champions to avoid disassembling the Scudetto-winning squad and provide additions to the team.
