Newly appointed Torino coach Ivan Juric is looking to reunite with Inter full-back Federico Dimarco after working with him at Hellas Verona this season.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Juric’s first order of business upon taking up the role at the Granata is to convince the club to move for Dimarco, who spent the year on loan at Verona from Inter.

The Croatian was hugely impressed with Dimarco’s development at the Gialloblu as well as his attitude both on and off the pitch, whilst his left foot and ability from set pieces have also contributed to Juric’s desire to work with him again.

Similarly, Dimarco’s age is considered to be a factor in Juric’s hopes of signing him, with the former Sion defender only set to turn 24 in November. Torino will look to him to replace 34-year-old Cristian Ansaldi after the Argentine has struggled with recurring muscular problems.

Dimarco has returned to Inter following his spell at Verona and will be assessed by incoming coach Simone Inzaghi, but Torino remain optimistic that a deal can be struck.
