Antonio Conte could try to snatch Romelu Lukaku away from Inter this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Tuttosport’s print edition claimed there was a possibility Conte could chase a deal for his favourite striker if he became Real Madrid’s new head coach.
Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in hiring Conte, after he parted company with Inter by mutual consent last week.
Conte could ask his next club to sign Lukaku wherever he goes, but there is a particularly good chance he would do so if he were appointed at Real Madrid.
Inter are hoping they will not need to sell any key players beyond Achraf Hakimi, but the Turin-based paper confirmed Lautaro Martinez also had interest from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
The Nerazzurri also have interest in Matias Vecino and Danilo D’Ambrosio from their former boss Luciano Spalletti, who is now at Napoli, while Stefano Sensi is getting interest from his ex-Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Federico Dimarco also has interest from a former coach, with Torino’s new boss Ivan Juric hoping to bring him in after he joined the Granata from Hellas Verona.
However, Inter are expected to keep Dimarco for next season unless they receive an offer worth €10 million.
