Alessandro Florenzi has ‘a good chance’ of replacing Achraf Hakimi at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio were inevitably seeking low-cost options to reinforce the Nerazzurri’s squad, due to the club’s financial problems.

Florenzi has finished a season-long loan at Paris Saint-Germain and it seems the Ligue 1 runners-up will not use their option to make the move permanent.

However, it remains unclear how much Roma would ask from Inter to sell Florenzi, although their option to buy with PSG was fixed at €9 million.

Inter are also interested in a deal for Florenzi’s Italy teammate Emerson Palmieri, but the Nerazzurri could be priced out of a deal for the Chelsea full-back.

Emerson would cost €20 million, despite having only one year left on his contract, and it doesn’t look as if Inter would have that kind of money to spend.

Elsewhere, Inter could try to sell Stefano Sensi in order to raise funds and the midfielder is attracting interest from Fiorentina.
